Deep Portage Summer Programs 2012
Join us for a summer of learning and fun. Programs are open to families and individuals. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Deep Portage will provide all equipment and instruction. All Programs start at 1:00pm and last until approximately 3:00pm. Fees: $5 Adults, $3 Children (12 & under), $3 Seniors and Deep Portage Members. We appreciate reservations: (218)682-2325.
June Outdoor Education Programs
Tower Hike - Tuesday, June 12: Visit the Deep Portage 55 ft. Observation Tower and learn about the natural history and vegetation of the land.
Canoeing - Wednesday, June 13: Travel up the Little Boy River for a fun afternoon of paddling, canoe portaging, and wildlife watching.
Climbing Wall - Thursday, June 14: Have a fun challenge and climb our 35 ft. indoor climbing wall. Program is suitable for ages 8 and above. Fee: $10
Bog Hike - Tuesday, June 19: Explore the Deep Portage North Bog, and learn about the unique vegetation and natural history of the area.
Tower Hike - Wednesday, June 20: Visit the Deep Portage 55 ft. Observation Tower and learn about the natural history and vegetation of the land.
Nature Arts - Thursday, June 21: Learn how to make recycled paper beads and paper birch rings.
Climbing Wall - Tuesday, June 26: Have a fun challenge and climb our 35 ft. indoor climbing wall. Program is suitable for ages 8 and above. Fee: $10
Archery - Wednesday, June 27: Intro to Archery. Equipment provided including compound and recurve bows. Program suitable for ages 10 and up.
